Marilyn Y. Acheson

Ms. Acheson is the majority shareholder of Global Realty Resources (“GRR”) serving clients in the commercial real estate business. The business was launched in 2016 to provide U.S. and foreign family offices and high net worth individuals portfolio, asset and property management services. She has over three decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Clients of the firm hold diverse real estate assets, from office, flex, retail and medical buildings.


In 1998, Ms. Acheson was a founding principal of Keystone Strategies, LP (“Keystone”), and, until the end of 2019, served as Keystone’s Director of Asset Management, responsible for asset and property management, client/investor relations and development and the daily business operations of Keystone.
Ms. Acheson is a retired principal of Restoration Specialists, having served the firm as EVP for over 10 years (from 2004 thru 2015) with responsibility for the financial, business development, human resource and risk management operations of the company. Restoration Specialists services included remediation, reconstruction and restoration for commercial and residential fire, flood, and water losses.


Prior to forming Keystone in 1998, Ms. Acheson was employed for 14 years with the Lehndorff USA Companies. She managed both tax and financial reporting functions, having served as Senior Property Controller for the western U.S. inclusive of accounting field offices. As Vice President Private Client Investments for six years, Ms. Acheson was responsible for the asset management, financial and tax functions for 30+ high net worth foreign investors’ U.S. commercial real estate portfolios.


Ms. Acheson has non-profit experience having served on the Board of Directors as Past President of CREW Dallas (Commercial Real Estate Women), and as the 2004 President. CREW Dallas is an organization with a local network of over 300 professional women in executive and management real estate positions. Additionally, she has served as an advisory member of the NTCAR Board of Directors and is a former Board of Trustee of the Dallas Women’s Foundation (“DWF”) also serving on the DWF Development committee. As well, she is a former Board member of the WINGS (formerly YWCA) organization.


Ms. Acheson is a graduate of Westminster College holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Secondary Education. Additionally, she completed thirty hours of undergraduate and graduate accounting and tax courses at the University of Texas in Dallas. In 1988 Ms. Acheson added CPA licensing to her resume.
